MyLot has made a few changes to their system. Now users are ranked on a scale of 1-10. They did not say that this increases your earnings, but I have found that I am making more money. Right now I have $30 in my account and I get paid in two days.

A few tips for my lot: I have found that I make more money starting topics than I do posting on other member threads. The key is to start good quality topics that will get people talking. If you post a thread and it asks a simple question, members are less likely to respond.

Something I failed to mention about MyLot in past posts is that you can also earn money for referrals. For every person you refer you get 25% of their earnings. Not a bad deal. I have not been doing much to earn money online in the past few days, but I have continued posting at MyLot. All together I have earned $54. I have been a member for about a month. This can really pay off if you are smart about it.

All you have to do is go to the forum, sign up, and start posting. They update your earnings every 24 hours and you get paid once each month. They will pay out at $10. You can earn that in two days if you really try. Worth signing up and posting on. Do it just until you get $10 in your account and then decide if it is for you. If you don't want to post after that at least you made your first $10.

How You Make Money: Post their ads on your blog or website and wait for people to click on those ads.

The Good Points: Once you get it set up, there isn’t anything else to do other than drive traffic to your site. You should already be trying to do that, ads or no ads.

The Bad Points: Unless you get a lot of traffic this doesn’t really pay much. I had it on a previous website where we received 200 or more visitors a day. In 6 months we only made about $10.

Pay: It honestly depends on so many factors that I don’t even know where to start with this. Do your research to make the most of this feature. I haven’t done much research yet, but it is next on my list!

The Good Side: It is lottery and it fills my need to gamble! It’s free and it is somewhat entertaining.

The Bad Side: To get a gift card you must have 25,000 points racked up. I have been playing for a few days and I’m not even half way there. On the first day I got like 4,000 points but since then it has been less and less. It is going to take a while to get all of the points I need. Sure, someone might get lucky and score big but the chances are slim.

Pay: $25 for clicking a few buttons isn’t bad, but it takes a while to make your way there.

How you make money: Submit articles about pretty much anything.

The Good Side: I am very impressed with this site! After a few years of college I have a ton of papers saved up on my harddrive. All I did was copy/paste a few of these onto their site and wait. 2 of my entries were rejected, but they offered me money for the others. Two articles brought in $6 and one brought in a wopping $9. Not bad for copy/pasting.

The Bad Side: There are a lot of rules about exactly how you must enter the article into their site. I got tired of reading about how I couldn’t indent and I couldn’t have doublespacing. Pretty much defies everything I was taught. Lol

Pay: You honestly can’t beat the rates they are handing out. I haven’t been paid yet though. I will be very happy once the money actually hits my paypal account!

Earning Online Tip: Do a Test Run

In the world of online money there is so much right there at your fingertips. Just do a search for 'online money' and you are faced with a jungle of selections. I guarentee that you can find some amazing sources of income out there, but do not forget that there are many sites out there who want to scam you.

If you have found a site that seems legit, do a few google searches for the site before jumping in. Perhaps check the Better Business Bureau as well. This can always provide good insite. After your initial research, jump in and start earning if it looks to be a company that really pays out.

Here is the important part! Every site has a minimum ammount that they require you to earn before they pay you. They usually only pay once a month as well. In your first month do not earn more than the minimum payout ammount. Earn just enough to get that first check or deposit and move onto something else. Once you see for sure that the site pays, go back to it and earn like crazy!

In the end this could keep you from wasting a lot of time on scams and you could be investing your time in other sites. Good luck with finding money online!

Day 5: Overview (Making Money Online)

Yesterday was the 5th day of my attempt to make money online. I have to be honest. I took the day off! No research, no posting on paid forums, no writing articles for money, and no checking progress on how my blog was doing.

At this point I have signed up for several programs and many of them are in pending. It seems that the sites with the most money for the least ammount of work require you to write articles. It takes several days for these articles to get approved. I don't want to submit too many articles without seeing if my first ones are approved. I figure this way I will have an idea about what they are looking for.

Today is going to be mostly looking into programs I have joined and updating my reviews on the sites so far. I really hope this helps some of you out there who are just starting out making money online. I have been to so many sites that make it sound like they did it over night. It takes patience!

Well, I am into day for of making money online and it is that time where I go through all the sites, give you the links, and post my opinion thus far. There is one important thing I learned as of now. You have to be patient. I really thought that after four days I would have made more money. The truth is, the sites that really pay just take a little longer to approve what you submit to them. Or, the sites that pay require that your blog be open for 90 days or so. My blog, as you can tell, is about 4 days old. lol

So, what you will find in the entries that proceed this one today, is that I found a lot of new sites yesterday. I didn't make a lot of money, but I did find a lot of sites. :) I will be off and on today updating so it might take a while to post all of the information. Check back later. :)

How it works: You have to be patient with this site and read everything. I tried skimming the instructions and it took way too much time. I'll give you a quick run down here.

1. Sign up as an affiliate: Don't submit any articles until you sign up as an affiliate. As an affiliate you have the option of recieving pay for the pages that you create. If you aren't an affiliate you won't recieve anything.

2. Once you sign in as an affiliate you have options to put referal links on your blog or website. Go into your affiliate page and access these from the 'banners' link. Get paid for referals!

3. Once you sign up as an affiliate you can write articles. They pay $1 per page.

Does it Pay: I submitted 3 articles and they are currently pending.

Tip for Making Money Online

Before you start the process of trying to find money online, keep in mind that this is a journey that will take you to many different web sites. Some of these will work for you while others will not. Sometimes finding the right sites for you means that you must sign up for these sites to figure it out. At this point I think I have signed up for at least 20 sites. This means 20 emails to welcome to to their web site. At least 10 of these sites sent me another email asking me to confirm my email address. I joined two forums that send me a new update each time someone posts on a thread that I started. So far I have recieved at least 200 emails from those two sites. So far that is 230 emails.

What is my point? The first step in making money online is creating a new email address. Do not use your personal email address because your inbox will be so full of emails from these sites that it will be impossible to dig out the actual personal emails.

Another reason is that sometimes these sites sell your email address to other companies. This means that these companies will take your email address and spam you with every piece of information they can. If you are like me you already get enough offers to consolidate your credit or go to college for free. Why add to it?

Keeping a seperate email address will keep your life clutter free and make it easier to find what you are looking for.

Before you read this I have to say that I have heard that programs where you are paid to read email do not pay off. I have tried a couple of these and I have quit a few days later. I have found that on a normal basis they don't send you enough emails to actually make any money. So, why am I trying this again? Easy, this site allows you to earn points for refering people and that is never a bad thing. Easy!

I am not going to take part in this site because I looked through the list of programs and I had not used any of the software before. There were no big name products like Adobe or Microsoft and that is mainly what I work with right now. However, it is worth looking into to see if you know any of the programs on the list.

So, I recieved a comment yesterday telling me the following:

You are such a loser. Get a real job.

Wow, thanks. I won't name names or give a link to this person b/c that would just give them page hits and I'm not playing that game. So, I feel the need to explain why I am trying to make money online. I have been searching for a real job and I have pretty much applied for everything in our town that I qualify for. I have had my resume critiqued and takend the advice of professionals and still no luck. I am looking for a real job but what am I going to do in the mean time? Surf the internet of course.

If I am going to be surfing the internet why not do it for money? I put adsense and amazon links on here in hopes that I will make money from them. I play online games and post on forums in attempts to make money. So far posting on forums has been good to me. See my last post for a link to the site.

Right now my husband and I are struggling to keep our heads above the water in the money world. We have bills that need paid and we are having problems. Our cabinets and fridge are going bare and I don't know what to do any more.

Before you call someone a loser I think you need to get the facts about their situation.

I did a little research on getting traffic to my blog. Let's be honest, I'm keeping this thing for three reasons.

1. Keep up with my earnings.
2. Teach others how to earn.
3. Earn some money from this blog.

So, today I learned that I should sign up for a program like feedburner. Placing my blog in their files makes it easy for people to find my blog and also for people to subscribe to my blog.

How it works: In the right column of my blog you will see a row of graphics for google, yahoo, etc. All of these are ways that you can subscribe to this blog. This way you will know when I update. You can easily get your own graphics and make it easy for people to subscribe.

1. Post on their site. You start new discussions and reply to other dicussions. The ammount of money you recieve depends on the ammount of replies you get on your dicussions and how many posts you make.

2. Refer friends

Does it pay: On the first day I made 29 cents. by the second day I was up to $4.42 cents. Not bad.

Tips:
Make your posts 4 lines or more. They pay more for longer posts.

Start meaningful topics that will get people posting. If your topic gets in the top posts for the day then you have a better chance of getting replies and making more money.

Most people on the site are there to make money. Starting topics about money making is something they are all interested in and will get replies for you.

Tips:
1. According to members on the forum the Quick Pick number does pay out. Use it and go on to another site while it runs.
